This project focuses on improving the quality of life for children with intellectual and physical disabilities at the Baranasuriya Child Welfare Centre in Pathana, Hikkaduwa. The initiative will provide essential infrastructure and resources, including five beds with mattresses, new toilet facilities, a safety gate to ensure security, and three fans to maintain a comfortable environment. The project will be carried out in close collaboration with the welfare centre, ensuring that every child’s needs are met.
Objectives:
- Enhance the living conditions of children by providing comfortable bedding and adequate sanitary facilities.
- Ensure the safety of children by installing a protective gate.
- Create a more comfortable environment by providing cooling solutions.
Expected Impact:
By improving the living conditions and safety of these children, the project aims to foster a nurturing environment where they can grow and develop despite their disabilities. It will significantly enhance their quality of life and provide a foundation for their well-being.
